Osaka Day 4 - Osaka Tower, Osaka Castle (again), and the Shinkansen

My final day in Osaka! What I couldn't photograph was Spa World. It was quite brilliant, so relaxing. Loads of themed pools and baths, my skin felt amazing when we left.

But, before that, we had some time to kill and took a totally unplanned trip up Osaka Tower. The weather was lovely for it and the views were great. I really enjoy getting views of cities from above like this. Or anywhere from higher up really, the countryside from up a tall hill is also good. I don't know if it's because of where I grew up, the edge of the moors in West Yorkshire, but there's always something very calming about being able to see everything for miles around.

I sort of love how awful these things are. They're so tacky and they're EVERYwhere. Ben's face really makes this one.

Now, if everything had gone to plan, we would have visited Himeji Castle but we found out JUST as we were setting off that the whole place was being restored and was likely covered in tarpaulin. Planning fail. THEN we thought we'd go visit the Ghost Museum and learn more about the stories and legends surrounding ghosts and spirits in Japan, but the person on the phone gave us the wrong direction. Plan C, visit Osaka Castle again since Bex and Ben hadn't seen it. It was nice to relax in the park for a while as well.
