I totally forgot to blog about this when it actually happened but nevermind. For anyone (that is, if anyone actually reads this) who has even a passing interest in performance and installation art you should have a look at Eloise Fornieles. There are a number of reasons for this, firstly; she is awesome. Her work actually changed my opinion about performance art completely, for the better I mean.

I was lucky enough to be present for the private view/opening evening of Carrion. A group of us were there to help set up along with the scaffolding crew and the guys from the gallery. In-between wrestling giant bags of clothing and hanging black-out curtains I took photos of the progress and later of the performance and visitors.

Some of those photos have now been included in an Other Criteria publication all about Eli's work! All a bit exciting. I believe the book is available from the Other Criteria website and elsewhere from the beginning of November? I think.... whatever. I'm getting myself a copy as soon as I can afford to.
