There's a fairly large ex-pat community in and around Tokyo and consequently a number of organisations have popped up to help people integrate and make friends (Last year I shot a charity concert set up by UFRA).
The Tokyo Snow Club arranges trips every weekend, during the ski season they head out of Tokyo to various slopes near Tokyo and even as far as Hokkaido. This trip was out to Shiga Koen in Nagano which has amazing mountains and is also in the area famous for the snow monkeys.
After a full day skiing/snowboarding on the saturday there was a party held in the hotel....
