Part of the weekend with the Tokyo Snow Club included a trip to see the famous snow monkeys. This one had been on my list since before I arrived in Japan, honestly it was that over the snowboarding that had me signing up in the first place.
I knew it would be a great photo opportunity to see the monkeys but I hadn't realised how stunning the surrounding scenery would be. There was a 2km-ish walk between the bus and where the monkeys live and I ended up walking it back mostly alone. It was amazing to walk through the woods like that.
